Griffin is a native of Wingate, NC. Upon graduation from high school, Mr. Griffin was awarded an athletic scholarship to attend Wingate University where he was a four-year starter at offensive tackle. While at Wingate University, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Parks and Recreation Administration with a minor in Coaching. In 2012 he earned his Master of Education degree in Special Education from the University of Phoenix. He also earned a Master of Education degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University in 2015.
Mr. Griffin spent 11 years as an educator, football coach and track & field coach at Pleasantville High School in Pleasantville, New Jersey. Most recently, Mr. Griffin served as the head football coach for Central Academy of Technology and Arts (CATA) for the 2020 and 2021 football seasons. Mr. Griffin is not a stranger to Central High School nor its football team. He was a driver’s education teacher and offensive coordinator for Central High School in 2017.
